Bleak, post-apocalyptic soundscapes powered by electro pop biting synth lines and minor scale hooks fuel the sound of S Y Z Y G Y X, the moniker to the solo project of Luna Blanc, based in Washington, DC. Founded in 2018
S Y Z Y G Y X’s music evolves from one album to another, as Luna likes to experiment with sound, regardless of what genre it’s supposed to belong to.
S Y Z Y G Y X’s debut EP was released on Cleopatra Records in 2018. And later released the album “Fading Bodies: that was released under Negative Gain Productions (US) and Cold Transmission (EU), on October 2019.
She released a single “Cold Touch” in June 2020 that was soon after followed by her album (Im)mortal, released under Cold Transmission.
What does S Y Z Y G Y X mean?
Syzygy is a space term, it means the alignment of celestial objects (one example is an eclipse), to me, it’s the alignment of sounds that make the music. X is the unknown, or the meaning of life.

![Hey babes, sad to say that tour has been cancelled. I was going to write this long thing about how it started with the loss of Josh and rapidly progressed into a certain promoter pressuring and bullying me about my grief and mental health to the point where he got another promoter so worked up, he joined in the pressure. Last night I posted a story about it. I got so many supportive messages that I thought: why should I give these people that much power? They chose to be cruel to someone who was emotionally fragile but they underestimated me, but also, you. They threatened with “my fans getting angry at me” but they failed to know that you are all amazing, kind people. That you understand that us artists share our art with you out of love and passion, and if anyone is in it for the money- they chose the wrong industry (unless they’re booking Beyoncé). In any case, these were just two people, with one coming to their senses. Most promoters and people in general are kind human beings that have given me so much support that I’ve decided it’s time to take a break. Not from music, just from touring. I want to focus on spending more time with people I love, I want to revel in my arts, I want to work on my mental health. We’re all human beings, we’re in this together. Thank you for everything, beautiful people! And many thanks to the very understanding promoters who supported me on my decision. I will see you at the dancefloor at some point.
